Description:
Pattern bars are one of the most versatile tools in fused glass — creating reusable glass “ingredients” that can be sliced, rearranged, and incorporated into countless future projects. In this three-week block, we’ll explore multiple pattern bar construction methods, color sequencing strategies, and slicing approaches. Members will build several pattern bars and learn how to cut and apply them in different ways for maximum creative range. This technique is ideal for artists who enjoy structure, repetition, and long-term design payoff You’ll learn: Strip vs stack pattern bar construction Color sequencing and compression Six different pattern bar variations Cutting strategies and reveal techniques How to design bars with future use in mind Projects include: Multiple pattern bar builds Sliced components for bowls, panels, and strips A reusable personal pattern library Pricing Includes Multiple pattern bar builds Cutting strategies Reusable glass components Multiple firings About Kiln Club: We are a Project Club where fused glass artists gather, fire it up, figure it out and learn something new each month. Looking for a fun, social, and creative way to explore new fused glass techniques? Join our community of glass lovers for monthly fused glass projects — think book club, but with color combos, kilns, and creative sparks.
Each month, we choose a project for the group to complete together. We don't portray we know what we are doing — just willing to lead the way by picking the technique, sharing a tutorial or handout, and providing the needed supplies. We’ll meet weekly throughout to work on the project side by side, ask questions, swap tips, and cheer each other on.
Spots are limited to 8. Whether you're trying something totally new or helping others learn your favorite technique, this is your space to experiment, connect, and grow as an artist.
