Date Night Cutting Board Class – The Perfect Night Out! Looking for something fun, creative, and a little different for your next night out? Skip the dinner-and-a-movie routine and spend the evening in our woodshop crafting beautiful, handmade one-plank cutting boards. Bring your partner, a family member, or your favorite friend—this class is designed to be social, relaxed, and rewarding.

We’ll have all the materials and tools prepped and ready, so you can focus on designing and making. Each participant will create their own unique cutting board while learning to safely use a variety of woodshop tools, including the bandsaw, router, and sanders. Our instructor will guide you step by step, making this class approachable for beginners while still engaging for those with some shop experience.

By the end of the night, you’ll leave with a finished cutting board you’re proud of, new woodworking skills you can use again, and a shared experience that’s way more memorable than reservations somewhere loud.

Refunds, Credits & Transfers

We understand that emergencies happen, so if you are unable to attend your class and you cancel with:

• More than 14 (fourteen) days notice before your class, you may request a full refund or transfer the full amount paid to another class.

• Less than 14 (fourteen) days notice before your class, your payment is non refundable. However you may transfer the amount paid, minus a 15% cancellation fee, to any class within 90 days of request. It is not guaranteed that a comparable class will be offered within 90 days.

• Less than 48 (forty eight) hours before your class begins, your payment is non refundable. It is extremely difficult to fill cancelled spaces with short notice.

• After class start date/time: No credits, refunds or prorating of fees will be given for missed portions or early withdrawals.

Changes or Cancellations

DIYcave reserves the right to cancel any class, limit class size, change class times or substitute instructors for those listed in the schedule. If a class is canceled, students may choose to receive a full refund or may transfer – with no fee – to another class or workshop. If DIYcave cancels for any reason, all payments can be refunded.

Required age: Over 12 years old on the day of the activity

Notes: Please arrive for class in closed-toe, closed-heel shoes with socks that protect up to the ankle. Long hair must be tied back. Layers are encouraged as the shop can be very cold or very hot. If you have personal protective equipment such as your own safety goggles, please bring it with you. Otherwise, protective gear will be provided as needed. Prerequisites: No Experience Needed! Two Students Minimum Per Booking Ages 12+ welcome if accompanied by a parent/guardian. Both need to register and pay.
