Get into the holiday spirit with a hands-on woodshop experience! In this workshop, you’ll design and create your own one-plank cutting board—a beautiful and functional piece you’ll be proud to use or gift.

We’ll provide everything you need, including premium wood and guided instruction on tools like the bandsaw, sanders, router, and more. Along the way, you’ll learn woodworking techniques that go far beyond this class, giving you the confidence to make more cutting boards on your own.

This is the perfect seasonal project—create a stunning board during class, then keep crafting more on your own to give as heartfelt, handmade gifts for friends and family. Whether for holiday dinners, housewarmings, or as a unique present under the tree, your cutting boards will be treasured for years to come.

Refunds, Credits & Transfers

We understand that emergencies happen, so if you are unable to attend your class and you cancel with:

• More than 14 (fourteen) days notice before your class, you may request a full refund or transfer the full amount paid to another class.

• Less than 14 (fourteen) days notice before your class, your payment is non refundable. However you may transfer the amount paid, minus a 15% cancellation fee, to any class within 90 days of request. It is not guaranteed that a comparable class will be offered within 90 days.

• Less than 48 (forty eight) hours before your class begins, your payment is non refundable. It is extremely difficult to fill cancelled spaces with short notice.

• After class start date/time: No credits, refunds or prorating of fees will be given for missed portions or early withdrawals.

Changes or Cancellations

DIYcave reserves the right to cancel any class, limit class size, change class times or substitute instructors for those listed in the schedule. If a class is canceled, students may choose to receive a full refund or may transfer – with no fee – to another class or workshop. If DIYcave cancels for any reason, all payments can be refunded.

Required age: Over 12 years old on the day of the activity

Notes: Please arrive for class in closed-toe, closed-heel shoes with socks that protect up to the ankle. Long hair must be tied back. Layers are encouraged as the shop can be very cold or very hot. If you have personal protective equipment such as your own safety goggles, please bring it with you. Otherwise, protective gear will be provided as needed. Winter Weather Advisory: Please be advised that classes will continue as scheduled during winter weather conditions unless extraordinary circumstances arise. In such cases, we will contact you directly to provide alternative class options. As class cancellations due to winter weather are rare, we encourage you to consider this when signing up. Prerequisites: No Experience Needed! Ages 12+ welcome if accompanied by a parent/guardian. Both need to register and pay.
