Give your stained-glass projects a professional finish! In this focused workshop, students will create 2–3 small copper-foiled projects while learning how to frame both geometric and organic designs. Along the way, you’ll gain hands-on experience with three essential framing materials:

• Zinc came – valued for its strength and durability

• Lead U-came – known for its classic, flexible structure

• Hobby came – a versatile option for a wide range of projects

Through practical, step-by-step instruction, you’ll discover how each material behaves and how to choose the right frame to support your future stained-glass designs. By the end of class, you’ll not only take home beautifully finished pieces, but also the skills and confidence to frame small to medium-sized projects with ease.

Notes: *Due to the use of lead during soldering, we do not recommend students that are pregnant or breastfeeding take our stained glass classes. Please arrive for class in closed-toe, closed-heel shoes with socks that protect up to the ankle. Long hair must be tied back. Layers are encouraged as the shop can be very cold or very hot. If you have personal protective equipment such as your own safety goggles, please bring it with you. Otherwise, protective gear will be provided as needed. Prerequisites: No Experience Required Ages 14+ welcome if accompanied by a parent/guardian. Both need to register and pay.
