Get creative in this fun and hands-on workshop where young makers will build and decorate their very own modern wooden birdhouse!

Kids will receive all the materials and step-by-step guidance they need to introduce them to the joy of woodworking and the pride of creating something with their own hands. while learning beginner woodworking and design techniques.

This project is perfect for kids of all skill levels, and the finished birdhouse can be displayed indoors on a shelf or stand—or mounted outside with a little help from store-bought hardware. It also makes a thoughtful handmade gift for someone special!

Required age: 11 - 17 years old on the day of the activity

Notes: Please arrive for class in closed-toe, closed-heel shoes with socks that protect up to the ankle. Long hair must be tied back. Layers are encouraged as the shop can be very cold or very hot. If you have personal protective equipment such as your own safety goggles, please bring it with you. Otherwise, protective gear will be provided as needed.
