This stained glass art strip workshop is a fun and approachable introduction to leaded stained glass construction. Whether you’re curious about trying lead came for the first time or simply want to create a finished piece in a single session, this class offers a great entry point into this traditional stained glass method.

In this 3-hour, hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the basics of glass cutting, fitting glass into lead came, and soldering joints to assemble your panel. You’ll choose from a wide selection of 3"-wide stained glass strips, giving you plenty of freedom to play with color, texture, and composition.

Your finished art strip will measure approximately 9 inches long and will be completed with soldered hangers so it’s ready to display. You’ll leave with a finished piece and a solid foundation in leaded stained glass techniques—perfect for anyone considering future lead came or panel-style projects.

Notes: *Due to the use of lead during soldering, we do not recommend students that are pregnant or breastfeeding take our stained glass classes. Please arrive for class in closed-toe, closed-heel shoes with socks that protect up to the ankle. Long hair must be tied back. Layers are encouraged as the shop can be very cold or very hot. If you have personal protective equipment such as your own safety goggles, please bring it with you. Otherwise, protective gear will be provided as needed.
