Get creative this winter break and learn how to make your very own sterling silver rings—perfect to wear, gift, or swap with friends! In this hands-on kids-only class, you’ll learn the basics of soldering in a fun and beginner-friendly environment designed just for makers ages 12 and up.

Students will use a small soldering torch and learn how to size, shape, and add textures to their rings using real jeweler’s tools like ring mandrels, sizers, and texture hammers. By the end of class, each student will head home with brand-new skills and three handcrafted sterling silver rings that make amazing holiday gifts.

All materials are included, and the instructor will have optional add-on supplies available if students want to customize or patina their creations even more.

Notes: *Jewelry soldering is not suitable for pregnant women due to potential health risks from fumes and materials used. If you're pregnant or have concerns, please join one of our jewelry classes that does not involve soldering. Please arrive for class in closed-toe, closed-heel shoes with socks that protect up to the ankle. Long hair must be tied back. If you have personal protective equipment such as your own safety goggles, please bring it with you. Otherwise, protective gear will be provided as needed.
