Description:

Movie Night: "Maker" - A Film About Making Things
July 22nd | 5:30–7:30PM | Free for DIYcave Members

Our journey to space has been delayed — we aren’t able to show Project Hail Mary due to licensing restrictions at this time. But movie night is still on, and we’re excited to screen Maker, a documentary all about the creativity, curiosity, and hands‑on spirit that define the Maker Movement.

Maker is a feature‑length film that explores how people blend DIY and DIT (Do‑It‑Together) approaches in design, engineering, and art. It highlights how makers use tools like 3D printers, laser cutters, and open‑source electronics to bring ideas to life.

The film showcases:

  • Innovation through accessibility — how affordable tools and shared knowledge empower anyone to create.

  • Community collaboration — makerspaces and workshops where people share skills, resources, and inspiration.

  • Entrepreneurial energy — personal projects that grow into small businesses or social‑impact ventures.

It’s not just about building objects — it’s about building ideas, connections, and possibilities. Maker captures the excitement of a world where creating isn’t limited to factories, but something anyone can do from a garage, kitchen table, or local makerspace.

Join us for a night of creativity, inspiration, and maker inguinity.
