Description:

Learn the basics of slumping glass using colorful glass and a variety of tools.  We will focus on the techniques of fusing and slumping, which offer myriad possibilities for creating with color and form. You will learn the basics of glass and heat interaction, glass cutting, fusing, and slumping. The class will cover mold types as well as firing and annealing procedures.

Learn how to use scoring, breaking, and fabrication techniques to create a 6 inch dish! Starting with a base of clear glass, use your creativity and the skills you’ll acquire in this class to design your dish to your liking.

Glass fusing is the process of joining compatible sheet glasses together in a kiln until the glass fuses at approximately 1490 degrees Fahrenheit. It grants you the power to create colorful, dynamic works of glass art that are completely unique. Unlike many other glass forms, glass fusing allows you as much time as you need to bring your designs to life since you are working with the glass while it is cold.

Your fused glass projects will stay at the studio after the workshop to be fired in our kiln. We will notify you as soon as they’re ready to be picked up! *Shipping is available for an additional cost.

All materials and tools included.
