Location: Marshall 15 #1 (Adult Sailing Online Booking) | 457 Washington Street, Duxbury, MA, 02332

Description:

The ‘checkout’ sail provides an opportunity for the Renter to demonstrate to one of the DBMS crew their sailing skills on either a Marshall 15 "Sandpiper" or a Flying Scot.

Including:

  • rigging / derigging 
  • tossing mooring & reattaching to mooring (Recommended that the Sailor bring 1 crew to assist with mooring)
  • basic sailing skills - tacking, gybing; rights of way

A checkout sail (or prior year DBMS rental participation) is a prerequisite for booking a rental

Required age: Over 18 years old as of 8/31/2026

Prerequisites: Competent Swimmer
