Description:

The Opti Learn to Race program is designed for young sailors who are ready to take their first steps into competitive sailing. This course will focus on developing fundamental racing skills, with an emphasis on understanding the basics of sailboat racing, boat handling, and racecourse navigation.

Schedule:

• Mondays and Wednesdays: Participants will engage in structured practice sessions, where they will learn the rules of racing, practice starts, and improve their boat handling skills in a controlled environment.
• Saturdays: Sailors will have the opportunity to apply their skills in a race-like setting, where they can experience the excitement of real competition while receiving guidance and feedback from experienced instructors.

The goal of the Opti Learn to Race program is to build confidence, foster a love for racing, and equip young sailors with the skills they need to progress to more competitive levels.

Prerequisites: Opti Green Fleet or Opti Champ Fleet Experience Competent Swimmer
