Description:

This program provides a supportive environment for kayakers ages 15+ and their caregivers or families (if needed or desired) to experience the peacefulness of Duxbury Bay while learning the fundamentals of paddlesports. Past participants have included individuals with developmental disabilities, Autism, and mobility challenges.

Our equipment includes outriggers for added stability, lighter paddles, supportive seating adjustments, and a kayak launcher.

Course Makeup Policy
A makeup session will be held only if we need to cancel a class due to weather. This session will take place on August 5th. Please note that we are unable to offer makeups for more than one missed or canceled class.

Price: $90.00 Taxes waived

Required age: Over 15 years old on the day of the activity

Prerequisites: With an instructor-to-student ratio of 1:3, students must be able to transfer into a kayak on a dock with minimal support and have adequate trunk control. They should also be comfortable paddling independently or in a double kayak with a caregiver.
