Description:

This course will focus on developing fundamental skills, with an emphasis on understanding the basics of sailing rules, boat handling, and racecourse navigation.  On Mondays and Wednesdays: Participants will engage in structured practice sessions, where they will learn the rules of racing, practice starts, and improve their boat handling skills in a controlled environment. On Saturdays: Sailors will have the opportunity to apply their skills in a race-like setting, where they can experience the excitement of real competition while receiving guidance and feedback from experienced instructors.

The goal of the Opti  program is to build confidence, foster a love for racing, and equip young sailors with the skills they need to competiantly .

Prerequisites: Competent Swimmer Ages 9-12
