Description:

Orff Ensemble is a fun mallet percussion group based on the philosophy of German percussionist and composer Carl Orff.  Students will learn to play melodies and harmonies on xylophones, metallophones, glockenspiels, and a variety of other percussion instruments.  During rehearsals students focus on percussion technique, music reading skills, improvising and arranging music as well as the important collaborative social skills of cooperation, responsibility and respect.  Orff Ensemble students will have the opportunity to perform in the community, sharing with others their accomplishments.
