In this full day camp (9am-4pm), children will find themselves down at Spanish Banks half of the day skimboarding it up and the other laying it out on the ultimate frisbee field! The Skimboarding & Ultimate Frisbee Youth Camp allows the student to try two fun and challenging sports.

Take your board skills into the shallow tidal pools of coastal BC with skimboarding. First-time and beginner skimboarders will learn the proper technique of “throwing” the board and skimming across the sand, and can even be introduced to basic maneuvers such as “180′s” and “shuvits.” Students may even try to ride ramps! Intermediate riders will learn an assortment of flatland maneuvers and transitioning from the sand into the water.

Elevate Ultimate focuses on building confidence and teaching values such as sportspersonship, personal accountability, and open-mindedness, through the Sport and Spirit of Ultimate Frisbee. Games-based summer camps will focus on teaching athletes the FUNdamentals of Ultimate including throwing, catching, and cutting, all through small-sided games. Portions of the ultimate camp will be played on the grass and beach!

After a day full of outdoor learning and fun, we expect children to return home ready for a chill evening and swift bedtime. Lunch supervision is provided, but please pack a lunch, snacks, water and sunscreen.

• Ages 7-15
• Pick up and drop-off are at the Windsure Beach Hut
• Good runners and/or cleats required
