Conservation and Outdoor Recreation Education (CORE) course is a provincial requirement to obtain a Fish & Wildlife ID (FWID), which is required to purchase hunting licenses and tags, or to apply for Limited Entry Hunting in BC. This 12 hour course (+ 2 hour exam) consists of a practical firearms handling test as well as learning and a written examination on Conservation Etheics, Laws & Regulations, First Aid & Survival, Firearms Safety, Animal & Bird Identification and Indigenous People & Hunting in BC.
Registration with BC Wildlife Federation upon successful completion of the CORE Course is seperate.
