Want to fill your hoop act with impressive skills even when the show is happening in a 14 foot space? This workshop is here to help with exactly that! We’ll cover a variety of tricks, based on collective skill level, including some crowd favorites and some unique drops and transitions that add punch to even the most vertically- challenged of acts.

Notes: Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, Jenna’s early years were spent developing a love of dance, theatre, and dry heat. She found circus arts after completing a BA in Gender Studies and an MA in Human Rights. Circus offered a new and exciting creative outlet for personal expression. Her mixed background in academia, activism, and movement draws her into spaces where performance arts and politics intersect. She is a performer for the Boston Circus Guild, and has graced stages in Montreal, San Francisco, New York, and Brattleboro, VT.
Prerequisites: Students registering for this workshop should have a regular aerial hoop training practice, and should have some familiarity with the basics of dynamic movement, including hanging beats and knee beats.
