Gymnastics apparel is available in our onsite boutique.

Kindergym and CanGym is a series of gymnastics “progressions” so that athletes strengthen their muscles, and control their bodies, to safely perform the “skills” on each of the apparatus using the fundamental movement patterns: landings, stationary positions, locomotions, springs, and rotations.  Kindergym ribbons and CanGym badges will be given when a level is fully completed.  We use an online program called My Skill Chart to track athlete progress across the levels, and parents can view a child’s progress throughout the season at any time.  In this program you can see the skill, read a skill description and watch a video (coming soon!) to see exactly what performance indicators are needed to be successful at a skill. You will receive an email invitation to log into My Skill Chart online.  You may also download the smartphone app.  There is technical assistance at the gym to help you navigate My Skill Chart.

  • Athletes must arrive in the outfit they are to wear inside the gym: shorts/ leggings and a t-shirt or one-piece bodysuit is appropriate and safe.  (Bodysuits or dresses with attached skirts, and/or shirts with attached capes, wings or hoods, including zip-over-the face hoods, are not safe. Crop tops are also not safe- open skin surface can ‘pinch’ on the bars, or ‘burn’ on the rope.)
  • Clean hands and clean bare feet in the gym.
  • Hair needs to be tied back.
  • No loose jewellery, necklaces, bracelets, anklets or earrings.
  • Please bring a refillable metal or plastic water bottle.
  • Please arrive a few minutes before for class. Shoes and sweaters/coats are left on the boot trays and hooks in the front lobby.
  • Missed classes due to illness or vacation are not refunded or credited.
  • Athletes will proceed down our lobby viewing area and be greeted by their coach while waiting for all the athletes in their class to arrive.
  • Once inside the gym, athletes will follow a rotation schedule.
  • Spectators are allowed in the lobby to view their children.  Photos may be taken of your child only.
  • Once inside, spectators must leave their shoes on the mats in the lobby.  Bring a pair of slippers or indoor shoes if you wish.
  • No food or drinks are allowed in the viewing area.
  • Athletes will sanitize their hands upon leaving the gym. They will be dismissed by their coach to the front lobby for pick up at the end of their class.
  • The washroom is cleaned regularly.
  • The gym will continue to be spray fogged with a disinfectant, as needed.
