Join Sarah Wutzke who is the Public Outreach and Education Officer for Urban Outreach in Calgary, for Lake Louise, Yoho, and Kootenay National Parks. Sarah grew up in Rocky Mountain House, where outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, camping, and canoeing are abundant. Her passion for nature led her to earn a BSc in Wildlife & Fisheries from the University of Northern British Columbia. With 9 years of experience in environmental education and interpretation, Sarah is dedicated to sharing the wonders of our national parks and promoting efforts to preserve these beautiful places for future generations.
Sarah's talk will focus on exploring the impacts of Aquatic Invasive Species (AIS) on aquatic ecosystems, guidelines for water recreation activities in national parks, proper procedures for cleaning, draining, drying, and certifying watercraft and gear, and efforts to conserve native trout populations.
