Aquatics Fall 2023 | Learn to Swim - The REC | Saturday Lessons
This class is designed for ages 3 - 5.
All skills are performed with support and encouraged to be tried independently.
Skills Learned:
- Fully submerge face
- Blow bubbles
- Floats, kicks and arm strokes
- Breath control
- Push off side and glide
- Push off side and swim
This class is designed for children that are already comfortable in the water, ready to transistion to a group setting, and accustomed to being away from the parent for at least 30 minutes.
Parents are not allowed to accompany their child in the water
(This class is offered only as a semi-private class for ages 18-35 months)
Skills Learned:
- Water adjustment
- Submerge face and blow bubbles
- Floats, kicks, and arm strokes
This class is designed for ages 5 – 8.
Skills are performed with support and encouraged to be tried independently.

- Swim front crawl 5 feet

Provides entry-level lifeguard participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide professional-level care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses until emergency medical services (EMS) personnel take over.
