Come join us May 17th, 8am-12pm, for a family friendly adult fishing event!

The session will start with some Angler Education- how to handle a fish, casting, knots, etc. We want to make sure you are treating the fish and parks with respect, otherwise this is optional. We will provide food and drinks- you eat when you want! Food will be hot dogs and other snacks. 

The Fishing Derby is held at the Jersey Meadow Nature Trail retention pond!! The introductory lessons will take place under a shaded pavillion, with plenty of room for families. 

With help from our event partner, Fishing's Future, we will have a great time!!

Families are welcome to come and cheer on their children!! We recommend bringing your own source of shade, water, sunscreen, and food for people that aren't participating.

Winners will be judged on number of fish caught and length of fish. Participants will be grouped by age; depending on signups.

Price: $20.00 Taxes waived

Required age: 17 - 99 years old on the day of the activity

Notes: Families are welcome to come and watch! Bring some shade! We will also have some yard games for children.

Prerequisites: Must have a valid and current Texas Fish and Wildlife freshwater fishing license.
