There is much to be proud of since it all began in 1946 when the Leaside Baseball Association was established from the inspiration and guidance of Mayor Talbot, the Leaside Town Council, and Phil Stein as President. From the first few games being played at Rolph Road School, to 1952 when the first games were played under floodlights on the Talbot Park west diamond, the LBA has become a leader in fostering a skilled, passionate, and honourable local baseball community.
