Description:

Fire is a natural process that humans have used as a natural resource management tool for centuries.  This presentation from the City of Lewisville’s Patrick Thompson will discuss reintroducing beneficial fire cycles in natural areas to reduce wildfire fuel loads, provide real-world learning opportunities for firefighters and ultimately improve habitat and ecosystems.

 

Family-friendly and free. Doors to the Thrive Rec Center open at 9am and the presentation will start at 9:30.
