Notes: *Know Before You Go!* DRIVING DIRECTIONS The LLELA entrance is located at the intersection of Jones and Kealy streets at 201 E. Jones St., Lewisville, TX 75057. We facilitate Outdoor Adventures all over Lewisville! Be sure to check your receipt to confirm the location and see the correct address of the program. DO NOT RELY ON GPS, GOOGLE MAPS, WAZE, ETC TO TAKE YOU TO THE LLELA FRONT GATES.  There is NO entrance from 121-Bus. and Fish Hatchery Rd. FROM 121-BUS Turn west on Valley Ridge BLVD. (Right if you are southbound, left if you are northbound) At the correct intersection, you should see the entrance to Railroad Park on one end and the capped landfill on the other. Drive towards the big green hill.  Continue straight along Valley Ridge BLVD to the four-way stop intersection. Turn right (north) onto Kealy at that intersection. Continue straight over the train tracks and you will see the entrance to LLELA on your right at the end of the road.  FROM I-35E, EXIT AT VALLEY RIDGE BLVD Turn onto eastbound Valley Ridge Blvd. (Left if you’re headed South, right if you’re headed North). Follow Valley Ridge to the stoplight at Mill Street and continue straight through the intersection.  At the stop sign at Kealy Street, turn north (left). Follow Kealy Street until it ends at Jones Street. The LLELA entrance gate is on your right. Below are some guidelines about what to bring, what not to bring, and tips for ensuring that you have an enjoyable experience. If necessary, staff from LLELA Nature Preserve may reach out to you via phone or email with additional information about the program in which you are registered. Please check your voicemail and spam folders for these communications.  Only those who are REGISTERED can attend. Do not bring extra people without first registering them through the Play Lewisville Store on Amilia.com. DRESS FOR THE WEATHER. Long pants and closed-toe shoes are recommended (even in warm weather) as protection from poison ivy, thorns, and biting insects. You may want to apply sunscreen and insect repellent before your visit as well. We suggest bringing a full (and refillable) water bottle for each member of your group. Flashlights are not required for Night Hikes or Astronomy programs. In fact, your hike will be better WITHOUT a flashlight. If you do bring a flashlight, please cover the end with red or green film to limit the disruption of our night vision. Please do not wear shoes with lights on them. Enjoy roughing it. LLELA is a completely outdoor facility without plumbing. There are clean portable toilets close to the Pavilion parking lot. You will have access to this area before and after programs, but not during. Respect wildlife. LLELA is here to preserve wildlife and habitat. Please respect the animals and plants at all times. We ask all visitors to Leave No Trace: Leave nothing but footprints, take nothing but memories, kill nothing but time. Regarding cancellations: We rarely cancel programs except for heavy rain or lightning, or low enrollment. In case of cancellation, LLELA staff will contact you and you will receive a refund. If you fail to show up for a program that was not canceled, there is no refund.
