A Fun Place to Learn & Play
The Lindenhurst Park District’s Engle Junction Preschool provides a program for children ages early 3's through four years of age. We strive to provide a warm, accepting environment where learning is fun. Our experienced teachers offer a variety of developmentally appropriate activities designed to help children learn and grow socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually.
Young 3-Year-Old Early Learner Program
This is an introductory experience for young children with a focus on early learning, creativity, and play, with the main emphasis on getting along well with others in a classroom setting. This can be their first experience being responsible for themselves and adjusting to schedules and procedures. Pull-ups are allowed.

Our Philosophy
Engle Junction Preschool aims to provide a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where each child is recognized and appreciated.
Our Approach
Our curriculum, guided by the Illinois Early Learning Standards, is centered on the belief that children learn best through creative play and exploration. Our classrooms and curriculum have been carefully designed to promote varied learning experiences. Children participate in individual, small-group, and whole-group activities daily.
We strive to prepare our students for kindergarten by incorporating activities that promote the development of social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and language skills.
Our teachers recognize each child’s unique learning styles, needs and interests and work diligently to offer learning experiences that are developmentally appropriate considering our students’ ages, individual needs, and social and cultural contexts.
A $50 non-refundable registration fee will be charged at the time of enrollment.
If you choose monthly installments, a one-month deposit (used for the last month), will be charged at the time of registration. Then, eight equal payments will automatically be charged to a credit or debit card on the first day of each month beginning in September (the last payment will be withdrawn on April 1). A $40 late fee applies if a payment is returned for insufficient funds.
Early Learner Program – If you register for session 1 and session 2 at the same time, you may call our office to postpone your session 2 deposit until December 1, 2025.
Monthly installments are based on the total tuition cost divided into nine equal payments (not the number of days per month).
Refund Policy
Refunds will not be given for a partial month’s attendance or withdrawal. The last month’s tuition payment, (paid at the time of registration), is non-refundable after August 15. If a refund request is made before August 15, a refund will be processed, less a $10 service charge. If you would like to withdraw, contact our front office at 847-356-6011.
