Get your Active Adult Activity Pass to join in the fun! The Activity Pass gives you access to our growing list of Drop-In activities including Video Aerobics, Cards and our NEW O.W.L (Older, Wiser Lindenhurst) Educational Series! The Activity Pass is $20 for residents and $25 for non-residents and is valid for 1 year from date of purchase. Purchase your pass at the registration desk during regular business hours and take advantage of the fun. Not ready to commit? Pay just $1per drop-in activity!

Video Aerobics - Drop In

Get up & ACTIVE! Improve your balance, flexibility, and cardiovascular health with a low-impact workout set to a variety of fitness videos suitable for all abilities.

Cards - Drop-In

Come be part of this lively community for some enjoyable competition! This engaging group gathers weekly to play a variety of games, including Canasta and Hand, Foot & Knee. Bring a friend and your favorite game. Remember to pack some snacks or lunch in case you get hungry.

Welcome to O.W.L. - NEW Drop-In!

Older, Wiser Lindenhurst! Our new series of programs specifically designed for our Active Adult (50+) Community! O.W.L. is focused on nature, animals, plants, and our environment. The O.W.L. Book Club and Speaker Series aims to foster a sense of connection, purpose, and empowerment to create a more sustainable future. Join us for engaging conversation, education, and fun. Everyone is welcome!

O.W.L. Book Club

Join us for a new drop-in program focused on reading nature-related fiction and non-fiction stories and discussion with light refreshments. This club is facilitated by local Environmental Educator, Holly Garvey. Come prepared to discuss the book, or just for the fun of it! Everyone is welcome at O.W.L.!

O.W.L. Speaker Series

Environmental Educator, Holly Garvey will speak on native plant and animal species, local conservation, environmental issues, and other nature-based topics. Presentations will be 30 to 45 minutes followed by open discussion and light refreshments. Free for Activity Pass holders! $1 drop in fee for non-pass holders.

Quarterly Active Adult Luncheon – How Bout Them Apples?

Calling all adults 50+! We invite you to join us for our Quarterly Active Adult Luncheon!  Each season we invite you to have lunch, meet your neighbors, socialize, and make new friends. This season will explore the benefits for healthy eating for older adults featuring a guest speaker and create your own delicious (and somewhat healthy) candy apple! Lunch, coffee, water, educational session and a candy apple to take home will be provided, feel free to bring a beverage of your choice! Advanced Registration is required. NEW! BINGO Halloween Luncheon – JOIN US IF YOU DARE

Come dressed in costume and be ready for some fun! Enjoy Halloween themed BINGO, other Halloween themed games, lunch and prizes for the winners. Registration Deadline: October 23

Active Adult Trips

Join the Park District for some adventure this summer! Our trips are a fun and easy way to make the most of your summer! We've planned trips that will delight all your senses this season! Click the "Trips" drop down menu below for more information and to register for: Pinstripes, The Four C Notes, Mitchell Park Domes, Inspirational Places in Lake County, A Day in New Glarus, and the Extremely Popular annual trip to The Wreath Factory & Ceadarburg! 

Trip Information: Transportation is in a Park District bus. Fees are per person. Return times are approximate.

Trip Refund Policy: Refunds are only given under the following circumstances:

• A full refund will be given if the Park District cancels the trip.
• A refund, less a cancellation fee, will be given if the spot can be filled.
• A refund, less a cancellation fee and any pre-paid costs, will be given if you withdraw at least 7 days prior to the trip.
• Withdrawals within 7 days of the trip will only be refunded for medical or relocation reasons and will be less a cancellation fee and pre-paid costs. Pre-Paid costs may consist of: tickets, admission, meals, and/or supplies.
