Au cours de cette semaine de camp de jour spécialisé, les enfants découvriront l’univers de Piet Mondrian. Cet artiste néerlandais est l’un des pionniers de l’abstraction aux États-Unis au début du 20e siècle. Les enfants auront la chance de découvrir la démarche artistique diversifiée de Mondrian à travers des ateliers d’art figuratif et abstrait.. Accompagnés des médiations culturelles, les enfants apprendront les procédés de l’art abstrait et la manière dont cet artiste progresse vers ce style. Ils seront initiés à la technique du hard edge afin de créer des œuvres éclatantes de couleurs. La semaine sera conclue par un vernissage qui mettra à l’honneur les œuvres créées durant les ateliers.

During this week of specialized day camp, children will discover the world of Piet Mondrian. This Dutch artist was one of the pioneers of abstraction in the United States in the early 20th century. Children will have the chance to discover Mondrian's diverse artistic approach through figurative and abstract art workshops. Accompanied by cultural mediators, children will learn the processes of abstract art and how this artist progressed towards this style. They will be introduced to the hard edge technique in order to create works of art bursting with color. The week will conclude with a vernissage that will showcase the works created during the workshops.
