Shark Encounters
Immerse yourself in the thrilling world of sharks as we explore both bay and ocean species! Begin with an engaging introduction to Bay and California coast sharks, highlighting their diversity and unique life strategies. Observe these incredible cartilaginous fish up close, learning about their adaptations and differences from bony fish. Students will also have the opportunity to touch a shark and participate in feeding our baby leopard sharks. Students will examine various shark artifacts, compare bay and ocean sharks, and engage in group activities to understand shark morphologies and life strategies. This hands-on experience fosters a deeper appreciation for these majestic creatures and their vital roles in marine ecosystems.

Required age: 5 - 11 years old on the day of the activity

Prerequisites: Students must be entering K - 5th grades.
