Dive into the World of Fish

Explore the fascinating world of fish as you compare and contrast species from the San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean! Students will start by learning about fish anatomy and identification. At the Bay fish station, they will examine local fish, noting their unique adaptations and body shapes. Transitioning to the ocean fish station, students will discover how fish adapt to the challenging tidepool environment, using identification keys to learn about these resilient creatures. Hands-on activities and close observation will deepen their understanding of how bay and ocean fish thrive in their respective habitats.

Required age: 5 - 11 years old on the day of the activity

Prerequisites: Students must be entering K - 5th grades.
