Description:
Advanced Ecology ~ Climate Change: Ocean Impact Exploration
In this engaging 5-week Advanced Ecology session, students explore climate change through interactive experiments and outdoor exploration. They’ll investigate how climate change has shaped Earth throughout history, recognizing it as a natural process that has occurred over millions of years. Through water circulation and density experiments, carbon cycle games, and ocean acidification labs, students learn the ocean's role in regulating Earth's climate. They’ll also examine the impact of rising sea levels, test real-world solutions like marshes and sea walls, and reflect on practical ways to reduce their carbon footprint. This program empowers students with knowledge, curiosity, critical thinking, and a deep connection to protecting our planet's future.
