Canoe Adventure Crew
Join us on select Saturdays to help guide groups on canoe excursions and ensure participants have a safe, enjoyable experience on the water.
Marine Science Institute’s canoe program allows families and individuals to experience the Bay up close. Canoe program assistants play a critical role in supporting our instructors and ensuring the safety and cohesion of the group. Volunteers will be paired with instructors in either the lead or sweep canoe to help guide the group, provide support, and keep participants together while on the water.
This volunteer opportunity is perfect for anyone who loves adventure and is eager to spend time on the water, assisting with group safety and enjoying a fun day paddling on the Bay.

Price: $0.00 Taxes waived
Required age: Over 14 years old on the day of the activity
Notes: Primary Responsibilities Assist instructors in the lead or safety sweep canoe. Help keep the group together and ensure safety while paddling. Provide support to participants during the program.
Prerequisites: Commitment Five-hour shifts on select Saturdays (9 AM–2 PM), in person. Requirements Minimum age: 14. Physical ability to paddle and be on the water for extended periods. Ability to follow instructions and assist participants. Interest in outdoor activities and group safety. Reliable transportation.
