Do you want to work in STEM, but maybe you don’t know if you’d like to be a software engineer or a data scientist? The STEM Mixer will expose you to a number of highly in demand and interesting fields in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Each week you will focus on a different aspect in STEM by working through various projects, hearing from industry experts, and exploring your interests as they intersect in STEM. During this six week program, you will have the opportunity to be a part of hands-on site visits with various companies in STEM and hear from industry experts in careers that rely on technology. At the end of the program, you will have the chance to work on a cumulative community service group project proposal that will integrate all of the skills and industries that you will have learned throughout the course of the program. This is an excellent program for students that would like to experience career preparation activities, such as resume building, career researching, and mock interviews, or if you want to be hired for paid internships while in high school and college, as well. --- STEM Mixer Fecha: lunes 20 de junio - viernes 29 de julio, 2022 Hora: 9:00 am - 3:00 pm Ubicación: Edgewood College ¿Quieres trabajar en STEM, pero tal vez no sabes si te gustaría ser ingeniero de software o analista de datos? STEM Mixer te expondrá a una serie de carreras interesantes y de gran demanda en ciencia, tecnología, ingeniería y matemáticas. Los estudiantes que participen en este programa se enfocarán en un aspecto diferente de STEM. Cada semana, los estudiantes podrán trabajar en varios proyectos, escucharán a expertos de la industria y explorarán sus intereses en alguna área de STEM. Durante este programa de seis semanas, tendrás la oportunidad de participar en excursiones a varias empresas locales y escuchar a expertos de la industria de la tecnología. Al final del programa, tendrás la oportunidad de trabajar en una propuesta de proyecto grupal de servicio comunitario acumulativo que integrará todas las habilidades e industrias que habrá aprendido a lo largo del programa. Este es un programa excelente para estudiantes que deseen experimentar actividades de adiestramiento profesional, como la creación de tu resume, la investigación de carreras y entrevistas simuladas, o el proceso para solicitar un internado en alguna compañía de STEM local, mientras asistes la escuela secundaria y la universidad.
