Prepare to be amazed at what your young musician can do! In Music Masters 1, children ages 3 to 5 will learn the components of timbre, rhythm, pitch, beat, and style. In this imaginative class, your child will explore the building blocks of music, experiment with percussion instruments, and play and sing along to music from world cultures.
Children and their parents/caregivers learn together in class, and teachers will share additional ways to keep the music going outside of the classroom.

Ukuleles are taking the world by storm! See how this versatile instrument can make at-home music time even more fun. In this adult-child class, grown-ups and their little ones learn to play the ukulele while the whole classroom community engages with a variety of fun songs, singing games and dances, musical books, and instrument exploration.

Merit's Beginning Suzuki-Alegre Cello classes focus on the foundations of proper string technique, basic musical concepts, and performance skills in a small group setting that works in harmony with your child’s private lesson routine. Suzuki-Alegre students benefit from the pairing of the Suzuki method with a diverse array of music.
Your child will learn the following skills:
Students in the Suzuki-Alegre Program are required to enroll in private lessons in conjunction with their group class. This method is proven to have outstanding results for young string players. Learn more about private violin lessons at Merit here.
Regular parent attendance at all private lessons and group classes is required for students up to age 10. For students age 11 and up, please confirm the parent attendance requirements for your child with both your group class and private lesson teachers.

Merit's Beginning Suzuki-Alegre Violin classes focus on the foundations of proper string technique, basic musical concepts, and performance skills in a small group setting that works in harmony with your child’s private lesson routine. Suzuki-Alegre students benefit from the pairing of the Suzuki method with a diverse array of music.
Your child will learn the following skills:
Students in the Suzuki-Alegre Program are required to enroll in private lessons in conjunction with their group class. This method is proven to have outstanding results for young string players. Learn more about private violin lessons at Merit here.
Regular parent attendance at all private lessons and group classes is required for students up to age 10. For students age 11 and up, please confirm the parent attendance requirements for your child with both your group class and private lesson teachers.
Don’t forget your instrument! Every student will need their own instrument before the first day of class.
