AY26–27 Payment Plan Terms & Conditions

The information below applies only to families enrolling in a payment plan. If your enrollment has no balance due or you are paying in full, you may disregard this section.

Families enrolling in a payment plan are not required to pay the full tuition balance at checkout. However, all non-refundable registration fees must be paid at the time of registration. Once registration is complete, the remaining tuition balance will be divided into monthly installments according to the selected payment plan.

Payment plans for the AY26–27 academic year begin on October 1, 2026, with recurring monthly payments processed through June 1, 2027. A valid payment method must remain on file for the duration of the payment plan. By enrolling in a payment plan, you authorize Merit School of Music to automatically charge the payment method on file according to the established payment schedule.

Please review your payment schedule carefully and ensure that your payment information remains current to avoid interruptions in processing.

Past-Due Accounts & Collections

Families are responsible for ensuring that scheduled payments are successfully processed on their due dates.

If a scheduled payment is declined or otherwise unsuccessful, Merit will notify the account holder. It is the family's responsibility to update any expired or invalid payment information and resolve any outstanding balance promptly.

Accounts that remain 30 days past due are considered delinquent. Families with delinquent accounts will be unable to register for future classes, camps, or private lessons until the outstanding balance has been paid in full or satisfactory payment arrangements have been made with Merit.

Accounts that remain 90 days or more past due may be referred to a third-party collections agency. Once an account has been referred to collections, families remain responsible for the full outstanding balance and any additional obligations permitted by applicable law.

If you are experiencing financial hardship or have questions regarding your account balance, payment plan, or financial aid, we encourage you to contact the Student Services team as soon as possible. We are committed to working with families whenever possible before an account becomes delinquent.
