Description:

The purpose of a recertification course is to give participants the opportunity to review the course knowledge and skills within a formal course setting in order to maintain their American Red Cross Lifeguarding.

 

This is a blended learning course. . Participants in blended learning recertification courses will review the videos and course content as part of the online session. The blended learning course uses adaptive learning technology to create an independent learning plan for the participant. Each module begins with a pre-assessment. The participant can completely test out of a module, test out of specific learning objectives within the module, or be required to complete the entire module. When setting up a blended learning recertification course, remember to allow enough time for participants to complete the online coursework before attending the in-person session.

Upon successful completion of the lifeguard recertification course, you will receive a new American Red Cross lifeguard certification that is valid for 2  years.

Required age: Over 15 years old on the day of the activity

Notes: Sessions: April 6, 7am-12pm April 6, 1-6pm

Prerequisites: You must have a current American Red Cross lifeguard certification or have one that expires no more than 30 days past the expiration date in order to take this course. You are required to bring your current or expired LG cert to the first class to verify eligibility.
