Rob has written liner notes for hundreds of recordings, including working on boxed sets for Bob Dylan, the Rolling Stones and Rush. On February 9, 1964, 73 million households tuned into the Ed Sullivan Show to watch The Beatles' first North American performance. Sometimes referred to as the "Big Bang", that evening was a watershed moment that changed popular music forever. With I Want to Hold Your Hand holding down the number spot on the charts for seven consecutive weeks, the British Invasion had kicked off. Following The Beatles were groups such as The Dave Clark Five, The Animals, The Kinks, The Rolling Stones, The Yardbirds and The Who. Over six weeks, we will learn about the music and history of one of the greatest moments in pop history… forever known as the British Invasion!
