Description:

An actor’s most useful tool is their body aka their instrument. Over a two week (6 session) progression you will encounter the body and learn to free up your physical instrument in order to channel the physical life of characters. Students will gain an introductory foundation of the principles of Laban Movement and Acting techniques, influences of dance in the theatrical space, and finally a brief overview of the Body in Space. With these combined elements students will be able to track through how the body in movement cultivates a deep and rich emotional life for characters.
