Description:

Private drum set lessons offer a comprehensive introduction to the drum kit, including understanding the instruments and instrument parts, technique and stick control, foundational music theory, rhythm, note reading, and more. Beginner students will start focusing on practice pads and one drum at a time to develop proper technique. Throughout the year, students practice articulation, dynamics, and musical expression with targeted exercises and simple pieces, establishing essential skills for their musical journey. More advanced students will focus on playing intricate syncopated grooves using the whole kit.

Required age: 5 - 99 years old on the day of the activity

Notes: Drums and piano students do not have to bring their instruments to class. All other students should always bring their instruments and music to class.
