Description
In 1982, The Nature Institute launched its inaugural Discovery Day Camp at Talahi Lodge within the Olin Nature Preserve. Thanks to the commitment of devoted volunteers and the support of benefactor Aune Nelson—who envisioned that children should learn about nature to foster a desire to protect it—the camp has thrived for over 25 years. The Olin Nature Preserve, along with other natural sites at TNI, offers a stunning outdoor classroom featuring ponds, woodlands, prairies, sinkholes, bluffs, creeks, and streams.
