Description:
Canada’s National Ballet School’s Discovery Series: Introduction to Ballet is an exciting program that is specifically designed to provide a unique and enriching experience for indigenous youth ages 6 to 18 who are interested in exploring the world of ballet. The program is designed and delivered by Caitlin Marziali, an NBS teaching artist whose extensive experience in ballet and community dance and ancestry from Taykwa Tagamou Nation inform her practice. It focuses on fundamental ballet techniques, body awareness, and creative expression. In a nurturing and inclusive environment, every participant can thrive, regardless of their prior dance experience. Inclusion in the arts is integral to the values of NBS and we are committed to making this program accessible to all interested indigenous youth. With that in mind, we are thrilled to be able to offer this program free of charge. The program will begin October 19th 2025 at Canada's National Ballet School at 400 Jarvis St., Toronto. No experience required.
