Take on The Monster - Kaslo's iconic double black diamond downhill trail! Top to bottom, all 4.4 km and 1,190 m in vertical. A collaboration between the Nelson Cycling Club and the Kaslo Mountain Bike Club. đź“Ť Mt. Buchanan đź“… Sunday, October 4, 2026 ⏱️ 9:00 AM registration opens | 12:00 PM riders drop in. Stick around for après, awards, and a burger & beverage deal at the Kaslo Hotel. Choose your adventure at registration: Race timing - For riders chasing every split second. (Limited timing chips available!) General timing - Tap in at the start, tap out at the finish. Get a time without the pressure - ride or race at your own pace. Both options are timed, so whether you're chasing podiums or just checking off one of the Kootenays' most epic descents, there's a place for you. E bikes welcome. Pre riding the trail is mandatory - the course will be tuned and taped in advance. ⚠️ Pre-registration closes Thursday, October 1 at 5 PM, registration will also be available day off but spaces are limited!The Monster DH

Notes: Restricted to participants 16 and up (with parental consent) due to rating of the trail.
Prerequisites: 2026 NCC and Kaslo Mountain Bike Club memberships are required for all riders. You will be prompted to purchase an NCC membership on checkout if one is not already linked to your account. KMBC memberships can be purchased here: https://www.kaslomountainbikeclub.com/shop Pre riding the trail is mandatory! Day off, or days before - riders must know and understand the Monster to take part in this event.
