Description:

Prerequisites for Enrollment

Ulpan I is designed for absolute beginners or those with very limited prior exposure to the Hebrew language. No previous knowledge of reading, writing, or speaking Hebrew is required to join this class.

This course is ideal for students who wish to build a strong foundation in the language, starting with the Hebrew alphabet (Aleph-Bet), and who are eager to begin their language-learning journey in a welcoming and structured environment.

Course Focus: Ulpan I emphasizes the fundamentals of reading, writing, and basic communication in a supportive and engaging setting. Through interactive exercises, vocabulary building, and an introductory textbook, participants will learn vowel markings (nikud) and essential, everyday survival Hebrew. Students will develop the ability to introduce themselves, navigate basic interactions (such as ordering food or asking for directions), and gain confidence in recognizing and pronouncing basic Hebrew words and phrases in the present tense.
