Description:

The Swim School curriculum is divided into five stages reflecting the five core competencies of functional swimming: Trust and Submersion, Body Position and Air Recovery, Forward Movement and Direction Change, Rotary Movement, and Integrated Movements. This course will develop a high comfort level in the water, a readiness to swim, and - for those children who are developmentally ready - will teach functional swim skills. Instructors will teach swimming through creative and fun activities in the water.

Required age: 3 - 5 years old on the day of the activity

Notes: You will be made aware through Amilia if makeups will be held. Makeups are only held on the second Friday of each session. The Park District understands that schedules change and are happy to accommodate refund requests when possible. If you would like, staff are happy to assist you in transferring your registration to another program, usually for no additional fee. Refunds must be requested 48 hours before a program meets for the second time or no refund will be issued.
