Description:

This is PORCA's newest event, and it's built to be whatever you want it to be. Race it. Ride it slow and take in the views. Do a bit of both. The format comes from the same devious minds behind blind enduro racing: part scavenger hunt, part navigation challenge, part race, with mystery checkpoints only revealed on the day.

What to expect: 

-Scavenger hunt format, you are your own master

-A long day, similar to previous enduro days

-No need to ride the gnar. If you are comfortable riding trails like Overnight Sensation, Fat Tug, or Pioneer, there is an option for you.

-Time bonus challenges

-Food, beer, fun with friends

The details:

• Saturday, October 3, starting 8AM
• Solo riders welcome, teams of 2 encouraged
• $30 p/person registration, PORCA membership required

Once you're at the meet-up, you'll get your checkpoints and tasks and it's up to you how you tackle them. Build your own route, pick up bonus challenges for time credits, and take on the one timed sector hidden somewhere in the mix. First team back to Pemberton Brewing wins. There's also a prize for the most aesthetic route, plus other bits of glory awarded entirely at our discretion - to be in the running for the aesthetic prize, you'll need to be running a tracker (Trailforks, Strava, Gaia, anything works).

You don't need to be riding the gnar to have a good day out. Comfortable on Overnight Sensation, Fat Tug, or Pioneer? You're set. With the right route choices, you can complete the whole task list without touching anything harder than Fat Tug or Pioneer. E-bikes welcome, just budget your battery (and maybe a little hike-a-bike).

Come ready for adventure: this is self-supported, so pack like it's a two-sandwich day and dress for whatever the weather decides to do.
