Description:

Come find out what is in the PMSC Safety Caches and get a basic understanding on how to use the items present.  This high level overview of the contents (and locations) may help you assist your buddy! This is not a one stop walk away with all knowledge.  This is all about showing you what gear we have and the basics on how to use it.  For additional training, please signup for a first aid course.

Come join us for a day of education.

  • Meet in the parking lot 10am.
  • Leave parking lot 10:30 after pre-ride inspections, transceiver checks, gear checks, introductions, etc
  • Arrive at a Cache 11:00 - 11:15
  • Pull the safety gear out and go over it, creat a package using a few of different scenarios and then help put it all away  1- 1.5 hours
  • Learn what to do if you ever need to use this gear.  And how you can assist the Club every time you ride by.
  • Observe and discuss safe travel routes and any avy concerns.
  • General Q&A with SAR professionals
  • Dismissal of session around 1pm. 

No riding in any avy terrain while in the Safety session.

Currently, open to Members over 16 years old.
Limited to 4 people attending.
More seminars are planned for the future.
Registration is required with signing of waivers.

Prerequisites: Bring your own sled and personal gear. Just like a normal ride. Be there ready to ride by 10am.
