American Sign Language:
Discover the World of ASL – A Unique Learning Experience!
Imagine seeing the world from a whole new perspective! Enroll your child in this one-of-a-kind opportunity to learn American Sign Language (ASL), a rich and expressive visual language.
Through this program, students will not only learn to communicate using their hands but also gain a deeper understanding of Deaf culture and the differences between Deaf and hearing communities. This experience will expand their worldview, fostering empathy and awareness of the challenges faced by Deaf individuals in a hearing society.
ASL stimulates the brain, improves concentration, and even enhances the ability to learn other languages. Whether it's communicating with a Deaf person, understanding someone in a noisy environment, or even using sign language underwater, these skills have lifelong benefits.
Our Deaf instructor, with over 12 years of teaching experience, creates an engaging, interactive, and exciting learning environment. Plus, your child will be able to share what they’ve learned with you—so you can join in on the experience!
Why learn ASL?
This program is led by Sera, an active member of Seeing Voices Montreal (SVM), a dedicated organization contributing to various Deaf awareness projects. Learn more about SVM here: Seeing Voices Montreal - Online ASL.
