SCHOOL OF ROCK (taught by Alejandro Benavides):

We will create a fun musical space that allows the student to learn while making music in an

ensemble, helping them maintain their motivation and take their acquired skills to the next

level. Students enrolled in the program will have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of playing an instrument, as well as basic singing techniques. The program will be developed over 14 group sessions that include an end performance.

 

We welcome students of all skill levels and encourage students to pursue their passions!

 

Learning outcomes: The students will be able to...

- Listen to the other musicians in the band while he/she is playing in order to reach a compact

ensemble performance.

- Recognize the different parts of the song and analyze the harmonic basic structure.

- Manage the sense of pulse while singing or executing in their instrument different rhythms.

-Strengthen their skills to feel confident in themselves and secure when performing with other

musicians or in public.

 

For those students that have their own instrument, we encourage you to bring it!!!
