This program is for children and families who are immunocompromised and are looking for childcare that follows extra health procautions. This program is for families who: 

• are still practicing Covid-precautions;
• are comfortale with their child wearing a mask while at the preschool, except during snack (we encourage an KN94 mask or better);
• encourage their children to socially distance during snack;
• encourage their children to not share of food or drink,
• encourage their children to handwash before snack;
• want teachers/volunteers to wear a mask while at the preschool  (we encourage an KN94 mask or better);
• parents/caregivers who are comfortable with wearing a mask during drop off/pick up or any time when near the children and/or teacher;
• agree to keep their child home from preschool when ill, even if the symptoms do not clearly suggest Covid;
• will consider keeping child home if other member of the family is ill, depending on the proximity of contact, until it is clear whether child has contracted the illness;
• if child or any member of the family is ill, will perform tests on multiple days to determine if the illness is Covid before coming to preschool; 
• if anyone in household tests positive for Covid, keeping child home until the last family member has tested negative twice consecutively for 36 hours;
• want the same illness conditions to be followed by teachers;
• Overall have a cautious approach regarding illness.
• Acknowledge that even extremely mild symptoms should warrant caution and testing as roughly 50% of transmission happens either before people are symptomatic, or in instances where they never become symptomatic. 
• Recognized that this program is for children/families with vulnerable health conditions 

It is important to note that Saplings Outdoor Program does not guarentee that participants, families or teachers will abide by the above recommendations. Instead, these guidelines are suggested to families and educators to follow, with respect and understanding of the need for a safe environment for immunocompromised families. If you are not comfortable with the above guidelines, we will recommend joining our other Kits beach program that is not specifically for immunocompromised families.
