Description:
Going upside down in the air is the first step for many exciting wraps and drops, and when done correctly, a beautiful movement in and of itself. Yet, for many aerialists, inversions are elusive devils that can bring the most determined practitioners to tears. This workshop is dedicated to giving you the targeted help you need to get upside down. It is packed with drills on and off your apparatus so you can master your inversion- suitable for all body types! About the instructor: As a coach, Shannon has a reputation for innovative choreography and progressions on aerial silks as well as for making aerial technique accessible to a diverse student population (particularly the discipline of aerial straps). She believes that artists at all stages of their aerial journey- from beginners to advanced practitioners- have unique and valuable perspectives to express through aerial arts. She is internationally sought after for her workshops, both technical and creative, and has been a featured instructor at retreats and aerial festivals including The Aerial Dance Festival in Boulder and The Irish Aerial Dance Festival.
