Spruill Center for the Arts is a nonprofit arts center in Dunwoody, Georgia, serving our community through classes, workshops, camps, exhibitions, and events. Our mission is to foster creativity, connection, and access to the arts for everyone.

This page provides a general overview of our policies. Full Terms and Conditions, including waivers and agreements, will be presented and must be accepted at checkout when registering for a program.

Registration Basics

Programs are filled on a first come, first served basis. Full payment is required to secure enrollment. Class schedules, instructors, and formats are subject to change.

Cancellation Policy

Withdrawals must be made at least 4 business days prior to the class start date or published deadline to receive a refund, less a cancellation fee.
Business days are Monday through Friday and do not include weekends or holidays.
No credits are issued. No refunds will be issued if cancellation occurs fewer than 4 business days before the start date or after the class begins.

Cancellation Policy for Camps & Visiting Artist Workshops

Cancellations for camps and visiting artist workshops must be made at least 2 weeks prior to the start date or published deadlie to receive a refund, less a cancellation fee.
No refunds or credits will be issued within 2 weeks of the start date.

Membership

To receive member pricing, your membership must be active through the class start date. Memberships are non refundable.

Supplies & Materials

Supplies and materials may be required in addition to the class fee. Please review the course description for supply lists, links, and any additional fees due on the first day or during the course.

Participation & Safety

Spruill programs may involve the use of tools, equipment, and materials. Participants are expected to follow all safety guidelines and instructor direction.

Code of Conduct

We are committed to maintaining a respectful, inclusive, and welcoming environment. Disruptive or unsafe behavior may result in removal from a program.

Schedule, Closures & Additional Information

Operating Schedule
Spruill Center for the Arts is open 7 days a week. We do not follow DeKalb County School District or government holiday schedules. Any changes to operating hours or closures will be noted online and on our website.

Class Cancellations & Weather
Instructors may occasionally cancel a class due to personal scheduling needs. If an instructor cancels a class, a make-up session will be provided.
In the event of inclement weather, please check our website, your email, or contact your instructor to confirm if your class will meet. Any official building closures will be posted on our online platforms, including our website, social media (such as Facebook and Instagram), main phone line, and communicated via email.

If Spruill Center for the Arts cancels a class, we will make every effort to schedule a make-up session. If a make-up cannot be scheduled, a refund or credit may be issued.

Make-Up Policy

Spruill does not provide make-up classes for missed sessions due to student absences. Please review your schedule carefully before registering for a class, workshop, or camp.

Parking

Spruill Center for the Arts is located within the Dunwoody Cultural Arts Center and shares parking with surrounding facilities, including the library, Stage Door Theatre, and Chattahoochee Handweavers Guild.

We recommend parking in the main lot and not entering through the library doors, as those entrances may not be open during class times or extended hours.

There are multiple entrances throughout the building. From the parking lot, we recommend following the sidewalk along the side of the building:

For second-floor classrooms (200 level room numbers): use the accessible sidewalk and ramp leading to an upstairs building entrance.
For first-floor classrooms (100 level room numbers): access is available through the courtyard, as well as the main lobby entrance, which is on the same level as all classrooms labeled with 100 room numbers. This includes the Event Studio, blacksmithing, and woodworking studios, as well as the atrium.

Parking directly in front of or behind the Spruill building is limited. Additional parking is available in shared lots throughout the Dunwoody Cultural Arts Center.

Please allow extra time to park and locate your classroom, especially during peak hours or events. Spruill Center for the Arts is not responsible for any damage, loss, or theft of vehicles or personal belongings.

Finding Your Classroom

TV monitors in the hallways display class locations and room numbers. While we strive to keep classes in consistent locations, room assignments may change due to programming needs or room capacity. Please check the monitors upon arrival to confirm your classroom.

Instructors

Spruill instructors are independent contractors. For specific course-related questions, please contact your instructor directly.

Additional Policies

Full details, including liability waivers, media release, and policies for minors, will be provided during registration and must be agreed to before completing enrollment.
